- Quality assurance
At Cellbes, we carry out solid quality assurance throughout the entire product development process.
Before production starts, several sizes of each garment are tested at our head office in Borås. All measurements and details are carefully checked so that production is carried out according to our wishes. When a fabric is ready for production, we have a sample sewed for quality testing. This is mainly done through third-party laboratories in our supplier countries, but can also be carried out in our quality department at head office. Among other things, color fastness, shrinkage, twisting and nickel content are tested before production starts. Testing products before mass production helps us to rectify or stop faulty products being produced at an early stage, which is favorable for our suppliers, our planning and of course the environment.
Once production is underway, additional samples are checked in the form of shipping samples. At this stage, the measurements, fit, details and labeling are checked a final time before the goods are shipped.
In special cases, we also carry out quality inspections, known as Final Random Inspections (FRI), to ensure that production has followed previously established requirements, and to detect any defects before delivery. During this type of inspection, a large number of products from the pre-packed delivery are checked on site at the factory with the help of an independent quality inspector. The quality department, together with the purchasing department, selects the deliveries to be inspected.
All Cellbes products have undergone numerous quality tests before they reach customers. Once the products arrive at our warehouse in Sweden, random samples are taken from all deliveries for further inspection. This helps us to detect any damage that may have occurred during transport. If deviations are discovered, in many cases, we have the opportunity to rectify them locally in Borås.
