Cellbes of Sweden

In 1954 Cellbes began as a little mail-order business. Newlyweds Gunvor and Bengt had received 1000 Swedish kronor as a wedding present, and wanted to put it towards creating something together. Initially, they sold Japanese cotton bed linen, but over time the company and its offering grew, and the focus shifted to women's clothing. Today Cellbes is active across 18 European markets, with headquarters in Borås, Sweden.

Our Philosophy

Cellbes of Sweden has always been known for its extensive sizing range, and today that forms an important part of our brand and our philosophy. Our offering features sizes 34-64 and we put a lot of work into fit and comfort to ensure clothes fit the wearer, rather than the other way round. We create fashion for women in the prime of their life, bringing them clothes to feel great in without compromising on comfort, that celebrate the female body in all its forms.

Our target customer is a woman in the prime of her life, and we strive to offer her wearable fashion tailored to her own style that reflects her individual personality. 70 years in the business

70 years is a long time, and in that time we've managed to achieve a lot. 50 years after the company was founded Gunvor and Bengt sold their life's work, and since 2007, Cellbes of Sweden has been a part of Consortio Fashion Group. Today Cellbes operates in 18 European markets, as well as through its website. The brand can also be found on the likes of online marketplaces and re-sale platforms such as Zalando and Aboutyou. Today with 70 years of experience under its belt, the company continues to thrive, with a turnover of 529 million Swedish kronor and gross sales of 700 million Swedish kronor registered in 2024. If only Gunvor and Bengt could see the company now, and see just how far it had come since its humble beginnings as a mail-order business started with their wedding present money in 1954.
