- Certifications and Sustainable Materials
At Cellbes, we have a clear strategy to replace conventional materials and primarily choose materials with a lower carbon footprint. For example, certified materials that are recycled, organic and responsibly sourced.
Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS):
A GOTS-labeled product meets requirements for the entire production chain – from source to end product. GOTS is the world’s leading textile processing standard for organic fibers, which includes both ecological and social criteria. A GOTS-certified garment contains at least 70% organic material. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.
Global Recycled Standard (GRS):
Products certified according to the Global Recycled Standard (GRS) contain recycled material that has been verified at every stage of the supply chain, from source to end product. In addition, social, environmental and chemical criteria related to the process have to be fulfilled. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.
Recycled Claim Standard (RCS):
The Recycled Claim Standard (RCS) verifies recycled material and tracks it from source to end product. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.
Organic Content Standard (OCS):
The Organic Content Standard (OCS) verifies organically grown material and tracks it from source to end product. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.
Responsible Down Standard (RDS)
The Responsible Down Standard (RDS) certifies down/feathers according to animal welfare requirements and traces it from farm to final product. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.
Responsible Wool Standard & Responsible Mohair Standard
The Responsible Wool Standard (RWS) and Responsible Mohair Standard (RMS) outline and certify animal welfare and land management practices in the production of wool and mohair fiber, and track the certified material from farm to end product. Certified by Control Union, license number 1031663.

Organic cotton
Organic cotton is grown without the use of chemical pesticides and fertilizers. To avoid soil depletion, the farmer should alternate between different crops from year to year. This makes the soil more fertile and reduces the risk of insect infestation.
Lin
Linen is a durable material that is perceived as both natural and luxurious, with good durability. Flax can be grown in rainy and cool climates, and generally does not attract pests. Unlike cotton, linen can be grown without the use of pesticides, thanks to its resistance to disease, among other things. It also requires less fertilization and irrigation, which means that the impact on the environment during cultivation can be kept low.
Recycled polyester and polyamide
When it comes to recycled polyester and polyamide, an already produced material is being reused, reducing the pressure on natural resources and lowering our climate impact. Recycled polyamide is made from old fishing nets and waste from the manufacturing industry. With regard to recycled polyester, the most common raw material is PET bottles, but it can also be derived from production waste from the manufacturing process. Recycled polyester and polyamide help to save raw materials, reduce waste, and minimize energy and water consumption. In addition, these materials help to reduce energy, chemical and greenhouse gas emissions.
