- Use, Reuse & Recycle
Textiles are a valuable resource that have a much longer lifespan than we give them. A good way to help reduce the environmental impact of textiles is to extend the life of every garment.
Use
We need to use the clothes we buy much more. Choose clothes of good quality that you think you will wear often and for a long time. Also, take good care of your favorites in the wardrobe. Only wash clothes as much as is really necessary, avoid tumble drying, and try to repair them if they get damaged. (link to our “Care Advice” tab)
Reuse
When you have finished with your garment, you can still prolong its life. Let someone else enjoy it by giving it away or selling it, or why not become part of a clothing exchange initiative? You can also hand it in to a second-hand shop or a charity that collects clothing.
Recycle
Do not throw textiles in the trash. Take unwanted clothing to a garment collecting station.
